Graduated from medical school in 1994 (İstanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine) and became a radiologist in 1998 in Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiology. Working in the same department as assistant professor (2001-2002), associate professor (2002-2008), and full professor (2008-to date).

Primary working areas are abdominal imaging, ultrasound and Doppler ultrasound.
